Working at tier3 solutions offers an exciting and challenging range of experiences. For our field studies (from Feb./Mar. To Sept./Oct.), we constantly need the support of field assistants. Occasionally, we are also interested in expanding our team to include further experts with relevant expertise.

Experienced Environmental Exposure Modeller - Crop Protection (m, f, d)

Full-time/ permanent contract

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

As a part of a project team, you will:

  • Predict the fate of substances in the environment using state-of-the-art simulation models for the registration of plant protection products
  • Evaluate study reports and prepare data gap analyses
  • Compile Efate dossier sections in cooperation with other disciplines (e.g. Ecotox)
  • Develop registration strategies and give advice to our customers
  • Build-up, maintain and share practical knowledge in a growing, strongly team-oriented working group
  • Manage client projects in close communication and cooperation with our regulatory team, our clients and relevant authorities

 

Profile and Qualifications

  • University degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.) in environmental or life science, chemistry, biology or related disciplines
  • Relevant working experience of at least 5 years: Experience in EU and member state modelling
  • Programming knowledge and experience in statistics would be an asset
  •  Profound knowledge of relevant guidelines and guidance documents
  • Strongly motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify difficult tasks; present complex data in a comprehensive way
  • Self-sustained way of working and motivation to explore new fields with a high degree of flexibility
  • Capability to work in a team and willingness to constantly keep your knowledge up-to-date
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken and written); German language skills would be an asset, but not mandatory

Role and Responsibilities

 

As a part of a project team, you will:

 

  • Perform state-of-the art risk assessments up to higher tier level according to current regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate study reports and prepare data gap analyses
  • Compile Ecotox dossier sections in cooperation with other disciplines (e.g. E-Fate)
  • Develop risk assessment solutions and registration strategies
  • Be the expert for the ecotoxicological risk assessment for our clients and drive the successful registration of active ingredients and products
  • Build-up, maintain and share practical knowledge in a growing, strongly team-oriented working group
  • Manage client projects in close communication and cooperation with our regulatory team, our clients and relevant authorities

Field biologists


During the field season of our ecotoxicological studies we constantly need the support of field biologists. If you have (or still seek) a degree (BSc, MSc) in Biology, Agriculture or any related subject and you are interested in working in an international team, please fill in the form and send it to info@tier3.de

Some information regarding working conditions is provided below:


Conditions and Tasks

  • Short-term assignments from 2 weeks up to 6 months (from Feb./Mar. to Sep./Oct.) throughout the EU
  • Work in teams of 2 to 20 people (depending on the study type)
  • Field work requires team players with high degree of flexibility, sometimes working in shifts and/or at night
  • Willingness to work outdoors in difficult and changing weather conditions
  • Shared accommodation in simple housing
  • Good knowledge of English required
  • Driving license required
