With the implementation of new regulations for micro-organisms used as biopesticides in November 2022, at least for products containing these organisms (bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa), registration in the EU has become more straight forward.

However, in this developing regulatory landscape, a comprehensive risk assessment requires generating scientifically meaningful data on sensitive non-target organisms. For this reason, our entomological experts focus on integrating the biology of the non-target organisms with the ecology of the biocontrol agent into study concepts to meet the regulatory requirements.
