Study Director/ Assistant Study Director
for Pollinator & Ecotox residue studies (m, f, d)

Full-time / starting February 1st 2020


Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning, conducting and reporting of semi-field and field studies with honey bees/pollinators (e.g. OECD 75, EPPO 170, Residues) and beyond
  • Assisting in developing new strategies and test designs in line with current EU guidelines
  • Potentially supporting conducting and reporting ecotox residue studies (vegetation, arthropods etc)

 

Profile and Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in a relevant science (e.g. biology, agriculture, environmental sciences or a related field)
  • Relevant working experience of at least 3 years
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent communication skills; ability to work in a team
  • Ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken and written); German language skills would be an asset, but not mandatory

To support our regulatory affairs team, we are currently seeking an

Experienced Regulatory Scientist (m, f, d)

Full-time / permanent contract.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Risk assessments for registration of plant protection products (Regulation (EC) 1107/2009)
  • Preparation of different dossier sections for the EU registration
  • Preparation of dRRs for product registration in Europe (zonal approach)
  • Data gap analysis and development of registration strategies
  • Evaluation of study reports including preparation of study summaries
  • Design and monitoring of laboratory and field studies
  • Reviewing, evaluating and summarizing scientific literature
  • Preparation of expert statements and position papers
  • Managing client projects in close communication and cooperation with our regulatory team, our clients and relevant authorities

Profile and Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant science (e.g. biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, toxicology, agronomy or a related field)
  • Relevant working experience of at least 3 years
  • Experience with public literature review (reliability assessment) would be a plus
  • Strongly motivated with excellent communication skills; ability to work in a team
  • Ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
  • Self-sustained way of working and ability to explore new fields of expertise
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken and written); German language skills would be an asset, but not mandatory
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint is mandatory - expertise in statistics would be an asset
